Decision Tool
Supplier Vetting Scorecard
Use eight practical criteria to organize what you know—and what you still need to verify—before approving a manufacturer.
Score the Evidence
How much do you know about this supplier?
Give each category a score from 0 to 5. A high score means you have relevant, current evidence for your product—not merely a supplier promise.
This is a screening aid, not a certification or guarantee of supplier performance.
Interpretation
What the score means
Low scores indicate missing evidence, not automatically a bad supplier. The next step may be a document request, sample review, factory audit, process review, or a comparison with another supplier.
Need evidence, not another supplier list?
We can help define the qualification criteria, review supplier claims, and organize the decision before production.
